Drawing since forever, majored in Visual Arts in Unicamp, one of the top colleges in Brazil.
He didn't find exactly what he expected, but what he found was way better. The whole experience,
from the classes to the coffee breaks, was responsible for a great revolution in his work and ideals.
Writes and draws the indie comic series "Pieces", in whichthe reader is invited to witness
small pieces of existence, slices of urban, melancholic, lonely and fun life. Without central
characters, and leaving endings to be interpretated, Pieces has gathered very positive reviews
and was indicated to the HQMIX, the most prestiged comic art award in Brazil, in the category
"Independent Author" and "Best New Artist", even tough he's being publishing since 2007.
In 2010, published the third issue of Pieces, and "NÓS - Dream Sequence Revisited", one-shot
comic gathering a silent story, which was exhibited in the Modern Art Museum of Campinas; a
complete essay on the production of the story, arts, and the exhibit itself; and a DVD with
the motion-comic animation of the same story, the very first complete comic story ever translated
to this kind of animation in Brazil.
Like said above, publishes since 2007, and have participated in several anthologies, magazines,
comic books, both in Brazil and abroad: Nanq1uim Descartável, Café Espacial, Heavy Metal, Front,
Short Stack, 2012 Final Prayer, Layer Zero, Negative Burn, Rolling Stone, Machado, etc.
In 2010 was part of the creative team of MSP+50, a very well-reviewed book containing homages to
Mauricio de Sousa, creator of "Monica's Gang", the all-record-breaking comic in Brazil, making him
a close match to Walt Disey and Osamu Tezuka.
AS an illustrator, he has worked with several agencies, publishers and companies, such as Bosch,
Skil, Caterpillar, Integral, Mantova, and the NGOs ESTRE and ASPE.
Aside from the wide production, teaches Comics and Illustration at Pandora Escola de Arte,
in Campinas, Brazil.
